During my trip on the cyberspace, I came across this posting at a forum in Thailand. I felt so touched that I wanted to translate such a sentimental story.
 

"MOM "

An old mom, unable to walk,
She was nothing but an irritating burden to her son.

No nursing homes, no solutions,
So, the KIND man decided to dump his mom in the forest.

No questions, no petitions, no requests
Mom broke twigs along the unknown paths.

Deep, deepest into the jungle's heart ,
The son leaned the old lady's body against a rock and walked away.

Worriedly, the old lady shouted to say,
"Follow the broken twigs, so you won't get lost!"

แม่ผู้แก่เฒ่าเดินไม่ได้คนหนึ่ง
เป็นที่รำคาญใจของลูกชายเหลือเกิน
สมัยนั้นยังไม่มีสถานสงเคราะห์คนชรา
จึงไม่รู้ว่าจะเอาแม่ไปฝากใครให้เลี้ยงแทน
จึงตัดสินใจแบกเอาไปปล่อยป่าตามยถากรรม
แม่ไม่วอนขอ ไม่ถามไม่ว่าอะไร
ตั้งใจหักกิ่งไม้ตามทาง เรื่อยไป
เข้าป่าลึก ไกลมากแล้ว
ลูกชายวางแม่ลงบน โขดหิน
แล้วหันหลัง เดินกลับทางเดิมไป
ตอนนี้เอง ที่แม่ตะโกนตามหลังลูกชายไปว่า
"ลูกเอ๋ย เดินตามรอยกิ่งไม้ที่แม่หักไว้ให้นะ จะได้ไม่หลงทาง..."
