Wins the IU Thanksgiving Open
Ari Terjanian played strong chess and finished with
a 4.5/5 score in a field of twenty one players. The Quick Chess tournament
was the first USCF-rated tournament sponsored by the IU Chess Club in decades
and drew the participation of strong local players as well as scholastic and
some of our club membership. The latter was represented by Ari Terjanian, Tom
Rosenbaum, and Alea Ford. Terjanian took clear first and won $120.00 while
there was a three-way tie for second through fourth places, who each took $30.00
home.
